Ingredients
- 4 sheets Ready rolled puff pastry, thawed
- 1 Tbsp Milk
- 2 Eggs
- 500g Beef mince
- 500g Sausage meat
- 1 Onion, finely chopped
- 1 Carrot, grated
- 3 Tbsp Anathoth Farm Tomato Relish
- Salt and pepper
- 2 Tbsp Seasame seeds
Method
- Preheat oven to 200°C fan bake.
- Line two baking trays with baking paper.
- In a large bowl, add sausage meat, beef mince, onion, carrot, relish, 1 egg and season well. Now mix. I find mixing with my hands the easiest way to really mix it together.
- In a small bowl, mix the remaining egg and the milk with a fork.
- Place one sheet of pastry on a clean bench, cut the pastry sheet half horizontally.
- Split your sausage filling into 8. Spoon 1/8 of the mix along the middle of your pastry horizontally. Shape it into an even sausage shape. Brush one edge with a little milk and egg mix. Now roll the sausage roll up. Finishing with the seam side down. Cut into 4 (or 6) pieces.
- Transfer to your baking tray.
- Repeat, and once all the sausage rolls are done, brush them all with the egg and milk mix and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake in the preheated oven until golden and cooked through, around 25-30 minutes.
- Serve with extra Anathoth Farm Tomato Relish on the side for dipping.
