Ham & Cheese Pizza Scrolls

These pizza scrolls with Anathoth Farm NZ Tomato with Herb Pizza Sauce are simple, tasty, and perfect for lunchboxes.
Allow 2 hours for proofing.
Ingredients
- 4 cups High grade flour
- 1 tsp Instant dry yeast
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1 & 1/2 cups Milk
- 1/4 cup Anathoth Farm NZ Tomato with Herb Pizza Sauce
- 200 g Champagne ham slices, diced
- 3 cups Cheddar cheese, grated
Method
- Add the flour, yeast, sugar and salt to a stand mixer bowl. Mix the ingredients.
- Attach the bowl to the mixer along with the dough hook. Add the milk and mix on a low speed. Increase the speed slightly and mix for 5 minutes (add more flour if too sticky to handle).
- Shape the dough into a ball then place back into the bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Allow to rise for 1 1/2 hours in a warm location.
- Deflate the dough with your fist. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. Roll out into a 50x30cm rectangle with a rolling pin.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, followed by the ham and 3c of the cheese.
- From the long edge, firmly roll the dough into log, and cut into 12 even sections.
- Preheat the oven to 180℃ then grease and line a 34x23cm baking dish with baking paper.
- Place the scrolls into the dish evenly spaced and cover with a slightly damp tea towel. Allow to rise in a warm location for 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle the scrolls with the remaining cheese and bake for 35 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Allow another 5-10 minutes before separating.
